Description:
ARISE Intervention is a cost-effective, invitational, non-secretive process that escalates only as needed. It empowers families by reinstating and reaffirming their intrinsic strength, resilience and hope which is often lost in the face of trauma and its consequences

The ARISE Intervention training program continues to raise the standard for intervention training in both practice and principle. ARISE is the only Evidence-Based, Best Practice method approved by the Pennsylvania Certification Board (CIP) for becoming an intervention specialist.

The program consists of the 3-day educational component and 6 months of weekly group supervision.

Part I: Educational Intensive

The Part I curriculum provides a theoretical overview of:

  • the origins of addiction
  • the relationship of trauma and loss to addiction
  • the roles of families in addiction recovery
  • the origins of and overview of 3 intervention models
  • the ARISE research and outcome data
  • neurobiology and addiction
  • professional ethics

This theory provides the framework for the experiential roleplaying and demonstration to follow.

Part II: ARISE® Intervention Supervision
Group supervision is one hour each week for 6 months (24 sessions) via conference/web call. During supervision sessions, group participants will present their intervention cases for review and assistance. Certification as a Certified ARISE Interventionist (CAI) is awarded upon completion of 2 successful ARISE cases.
