Co-Occurring Disorders in Teens and Young Adults Virtual Community of Practice

  • This is an online event (map)

Did you know that research suggests that forty-three percent (43%) of youth receiving mental health services have a co-occurring substance use disorder? The Children’s Behavioral Health Knowledge Center at the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health is hosting a Co-Occurring Disorders Virtual Community of Practice (CoP) for Massachusetts behavioral health practitioners. This six session online training series will provide licensed and license-eligible clinicians who work in a variety of settings with an opportunity to participate in discussions about providing care to young people with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Each online meeting will consist of a brief presentation on a topic pertaining to co-occurring disorders, a brief presentation illustrating the topic, and facilitated discussion and resource sharing.
