2017 Symposium

Overview

The fourth annual Children’s Behavioral Health Knowledge Center Symposium and Gailanne Reeh Lecture was held on May 5 at the Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital. Joanne Nicholson, PhD. delivered the 2017 Gailanne Reeh Lecture. Dr. Nicholson is a Professor of Psychiatry at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, Lebanon, NH, and a clinical and research psychologist with over 25 years of experience working with parents with psychiatric disabilities and their families. She has an active program of research on parents with psychiatric disabilities, in partnership with people in recovery. She and her collaborators have developed rehabilitation education and training programs and materials for parents, integrating the current knowledge on parents with psychiatric disabilities and evaluating interventions for families, including the pilot Family Options intervention.
