Core Element Overview

A Family Partner must often support caregivers in situations where there is conflict. The role of the Family Partner is not to facilitate the conflict resolution process, but to be a primary support to the caregiver in the process, as well helping to balance all voices. The Family Partner can help caregivers first to understand the conflict and explain their views and then identify possible solutions. Afterward, the Family Partner will check in with the caregiver to make sure they feel the problem has been resolved and help them follow up, if needed, to reach a better solution.
